Our Mission
Fostering Bangladeshi culture and heritage, especially among the younger generation, while enhancing social and cultural awareness within the wider Bangladeshi community.
Our Vision
ODYA strives to enrich the lives of Bangladeshi-origin individuals in Oklahoma by fostering pride in their Bangladeshi identity within the United States. Through cultural events, shows, and community support, ODYA promotes social and cultural awareness within the broader Bangladeshi community.
What We Do:
1. To create and sustain a unified platform for individuals of Bangladeshi origin in Oklahoma, particularly in Oklahoma City, fostering connections through idea exchange, social engagement, and community unity.
2. To host social, cultural, and charitable events that highlight the rich culture and heritage of Bangladesh.
3. To celebrate significant national holidays of Bangladesh, promoting historical and cultural awareness, particularly among young Bangladeshi-Americans.
4. To support the welfare of the Bangladeshi community in Oklahoma and assist the people of Bangladesh during disasters, with a special focus on helping children.
5. To collaborate with and respect other organizations dedicated to serving the Bangladeshi community.
6. To enhance understanding and friendship between the Bangladeshi community and various ethnic groups in the USA, including mainstream American society.

ODYA dissolution plan (Distribution of Assets):
Upon the dissolution of this corporation, its assets remaining after payment, or provision for payment, of all debts and liabilities of this corporation, shall be distributed for one or more exempt purposes within the meaning of Section 501(c)(3) of the Internal Revenue Code or shall be distributed to the federal government, or to a state or local government,
for a public purpose. Such distribution shall be made in accordance with all applicable provisions of the laws of this state.

Our Board & Committees
A board of directors dedicated to ODYA
The ODYA is led by a Board of Directors that represents the active involvement of the Bangladeshi community in Oklahoma City. Officers and Directors are selected for their understanding of the community’s educational, cultural, civic, and charitable needs. Serving on a voluntary basis, Directors are elected for three-year terms. The Board meets quarterly or as needed to address community issues, plan events, oversee finances, and make key decisions.
