Our mission & vision
Built by families, for families.
Every Bangladeshi family in Oklahoma should have somewhere to turn — for a festival, for paperwork, or for a hand in a hard month.
The Oklahoma Deshi Youth Association is a volunteer-run, member-funded association based in Oklahoma City. We organise the cultural calendar our children grow up with, point families to the embassy services they need, and pool member contributions into a fund that is spent in the open.
Directors serve without pay. The About Us page carries the full introductions of every director and member.

Pohela Boishakh, Victory Day, Eid gatherings and the annual picnic — organised so the next generation grows up inside them, not reading about them.

Passports, NID, attestations, no-visa-required seals. We keep the current embassy and consulate links in one place so nobody chases a dead page.

Stand behind our neighbours
Bereavement support, newcomer orientation, and emergency assistance funded by member contributions and reviewed by the board.

Contributions in, expenses out. Members sign in and read the same ledger the board reads — no summary, no rounding.

So our children can answer "where are you from?" properly.
A short introduction to the country their parents and grandparents come from — the language movement, the liberation war, the rivers, the food, and the writers worth knowing.
